Through the generosity of others, we managed to get several sewing machines donated, some of the older kids learned to use them, and now they are making money sewing and selling colorful backpacks.

There is also a working farm program. As kids get older several have been able to go to college, primarily to become teachers.

The parents of every child in the sponsorship program must agree to participate in the program on a regular basis either by donating time or attending a literacy and/or skills training training programs.

This is a really wonderful grassroots program that was started and run entirely by Hondurans.

This program not only gives to the people in the present, it also prepares them to improve their lifestyle and quality of life.
